Profile & Settings

Your profile is your personal space in the app. Settings is where you can adjust how the app works for you.

Your Profile​

Viewing Your Profile​

  1. Tap "Profile" at the bottom of your screen (or find it in the menu)
  2. You'll see your information displayed

Your profile shows:

  • Your name
  • Your photo (if you've added one)
  • Any other information you've shared

Changing Your Profile Photo​

  1. Go to your Profile
  2. Tap on your current photo (or the empty photo space)
  3. Choose "Change Photo" or "Update Photo"
  4. Select a photo from your phone
  5. Save your changes

Quick Help: You can use any photo you like. It helps others recognise you in the community.

Updating Your Name or Information​

  1. Go to your Profile
  2. Look for "Edit" or tap on the information you want to change
  3. Make your changes
  4. Tap "Save"

Quick Help: You can always change this later. Nothing is permanent.

Settings​

Finding Settings​

You'll usually find Settings:

  • By tapping your profile and looking for a gear icon
  • Or in the menu

Tap it to open your settings.

Notifications​

You can choose whether you want the app to send you reminders and updates.

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Find "Notifications"
  3. Turn notifications on or off as you prefer

What notifications mean:

  • On — You'll receive helpful reminders about events, messages, and updates
  • Off — The app won't interrupt you, but you'll need to open it to see what's new

Quick Help: If you find notifications annoying, you can turn them off. If you keep missing things, try turning them on. Either choice is perfectly fine.

Account Settings​

In Settings, you might also find options for:

  • Changing your email address
  • Changing your password
  • Other account-related options

Quick Help: If you need to change your password, this is the place to do it.

Signing Out​

If you want to sign out of the app:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Find "Sign Out" or "Log Out"
  3. Tap it
  4. Confirm when asked

You can always sign back in later with your email and password.

Quick Help: Signing out is useful if you're using someone else's phone or want to switch accounts.

What Happens When You Sign Out​

When you sign out:

  • You'll be taken back to the sign-in screen
  • Your information stays safe — nothing is deleted
  • You can sign back in anytime and everything will be there

If You're Stuck​

If your new photo doesn't appear immediately:

  • Close the app and open it again
  • Your photo should show up

If you can't find a setting you're looking for:

  • Try going back to the main Settings screen
  • Look through the different options
  • Settings can sometimes be tucked away in unexpected places

If you've signed out and can't remember your password, use "Forgot Password" on the sign-in screen.
