If Something Doesn't Look Right

Sometimes things don't work the way we expect. This page has simple things you can try. None of these will break anything — they're all safe to do.


Quick Fixes That Often Help

Before trying anything specific, these three steps solve most problems:

1. Wait a Moment

Sometimes the app just needs a few seconds. If something looks stuck, wait 10-15 seconds before doing anything else.

2. Pull Down to Refresh

On most screens, you can pull down with your finger (like you're pulling the screen down) to refresh the page. This loads the latest information.

3. Close and Reopen the App

This is the most helpful thing you can try:

  1. Go to your phone's home screen
  2. Swipe up from the bottom (or use your phone's method to see recent apps)
  3. Swipe the app away to close it completely
  4. Tap the app icon to open it fresh

Quick Help: You won't lose anything by closing and reopening the app. This is a safe and helpful thing to try.


Common Situations

The App Feels Slow

This is normal sometimes, especially if:

  • Your internet connection is weak
  • Many people are using the app at the same time
  • You're loading something with a lot of images or video

Try this:

  • Wait a moment
  • Move to a place with better internet
  • Close and reopen the app

You Can't Sign In

Try this:

  1. Check that your email address is typed correctly (no extra spaces, correct spelling)
  2. Try your password again, carefully
  3. Make sure caps lock isn't on (passwords are usually case-sensitive)
  4. Tap "Forgot Password" to reset it if needed

Something You Posted Isn't Showing

Try this:

  1. Wait a few seconds — it might just need time to appear
  2. Pull down to refresh the page
  3. Close and reopen the app
  4. Go back to the community or section where you posted

A Video Won't Play

Try this:

  1. Wait a moment — it might still be loading
  2. Tap the play button if you see one
  3. Check your internet connection
  4. Close and reopen the app

You Can't Join an Event

Try this:

  1. Check the event time — it might not have started yet
  2. Wait for the "Join" button to appear
  3. Make sure you're connected to the internet
  4. Try leaving and joining again if you're already in

The Screen Looks Strange

If things look odd, jumbled, or not quite right:

Try this:

  1. Turn your phone sideways, then back upright
  2. Scroll up and down
  3. Close and reopen the app

You Can't Hear Anything in a Video Call

Try this:

  1. Check if your phone's volume is turned up
  2. Make sure you're not on silent mode
  3. Look for a speaker icon and tap it
  4. Leave the call and join again

You Can't Find Something

If you're looking for a feature and can't find it:

  • Check the menu (look for three lines or your profile picture)
  • Look at the icons at the bottom of the screen
  • Go back to the home screen and start from there

Not all features may be available in your app — it depends on what your group uses.


When Nothing Seems to Work

If you've tried the suggestions above and things still aren't working:

Take a break. Technology can be frustrating, and that's completely normal. You can:

  • Close the app and come back in an hour
  • Try again tomorrow
  • Ask someone you trust for help

Remember:

  • You haven't done anything wrong
  • Nothing is permanently broken
  • These issues usually sort themselves out

Getting More Help

If you need help from a person:

  • Ask your group leader — they know the app and your group's setup
  • Ask a friend or family member — sometimes a fresh pair of eyes helps
  • Contact support — your group leader can tell you how to reach support if needed

When asking for help, it's useful to mention:

  • What you were trying to do
  • What happened instead
  • What device you're using (phone type)

A Gentle Reminder

Using any app involves a learning curve. If something isn't working, it doesn't mean you've done something wrong. Technology can be unpredictable for everyone — even people who use it all the time.
